    Prior to Serial Number 16314782:

      • To make removal easier, remove the center filter first.
      • Press up on the side of the filter closest to the controls.
    2. Remove any side spacers before removing grease cups. Some models have side spacers next to the filters, as shown in the grease tray removal video.
    3. Remove the grease cup(s) from the bottom edge of the hood (not included with Pro Hood Liners and Low Profile Hoods).
      • Carefully lift the grease cups up and out of the bottom rail.
      • Use caution not to spill any grease that accumulated in the cups.
      • In the image below, the left grease cup is being removed and the right cup is still in the rail.

    Starting with serial number 16314782:

    1. To remove filters, press upward, then rotate the bottom downward.
      • To remove the spacers, slide the spacer toward the center of the hood slightly.
      • Press upward and rotate the bottom downward.
    2. To remove the grease cup(s), lift vertically to remove from the rear flange.

    Cleaning Tips

Clean ventilation filters and grease cups approximately every month. Clean more frequently if your cooking style generates large amounts of grease, like frying foods or wok cooking.

    • Wear cleaning or similar gloves when removing or cleaning hood filters.
    • Clean filters and grease cups with a spray degreaser. For product recommendations, refer to the Wolf Cleaning Guide.
      • Filters and grease cups are also dishwasher safe.
      • Over time, harsh detergents can cause pitting if washing in the dishwasher regularly.
      • Remove grease from grease cups before placing in dishwasher.
    • Clean frequently to avoid dripping when grease cups are not present.
      • Grease may also be coming from the ductwork if the unit is used frequently, especially for greasy cooking.
      • Grease cups may not catch all grease, no matter where they are aligned. Wipe the inside edges of hood to clean the ledge each cleaning.
      • If grease is dripping from the lights or down the wall, remove the light bulbs and clean with degreaser and a soft cloth.
      • Remove the filters and wipe the inside edge of the hood and any surface inside the hood with a soft rag. See Pro Series Ventilation Hood Light Bulb Removal.
    • Cautions:
      • Do not operate ventilation hoods without the filters installed. This may cause damage to the blower or other internal components of the hood.
      • Do not remove or disassemble an internal blower motor to clean grease out of the motor.
      • Wipe exterior of the motor with degreaser sprayed into a cloth if needed.
    • Contact a professional cleaning service in your area for further cleaning of grease from ventilation systems.

How to Install Filters and Grease Cups

    1. Insert the grease cup(s) into the bottom edge of the hood.
      • The triangular cup part of the grease cup faces the rear of the hood.
      • The higher edge with a lip faces the front of the hood.
    2. Hold the filter with the lines running vertically and filter knobs facing out of the hood, and lift into position.
      • Some older hood models have clips, not knobs, but install the same way.
    3. Angle the top edge of the filter into place, then while pressing up, rotate the bottom edge into position.
    4. Push aside the outer filters when installing the center filter.
    5. Adjust the filters to fill the space by sliding filters left to right.
